This month, Miami partner Mike Holt discussed persuasive writing techniques. Orlando associate Graham Marcus shared insights he learned from his first Associate College luncheon:

• Just as a warrior invariably sharpens their blade, an attorney must consistently sharpen their writing.
• Clear, concise, and effective writing are hallmarks of a great attorney. Save for the exceptional motion or infrequent plea for appeal, persuasive writing takes many shapes and forms we take for granted: routine emails, client communication, and even conscientious scribbling. 
• Attorneys who succinctly and cohesively frame their argument, while also successfully engaging the reader in the process, will find both continued success for their clients and for themselves.
