RumbergerKirk is pleased to announce that Miami Partner Bob Fitzsimmons has been elected to the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors to the role of Chair, Sports Council. The 117^th Board of Directors was officially installed as part of the 2024 Goals Conference on June 4, 2024.

In his role, he will be responsible for the integration of South Florida sports entities and all Chamber events related to sports.

“I’m looking forward to helping local businesses capitalize on the World Cup in Miami in 2026, and building a relationship with the principle professional sports enterprises, Inter Miami (soccer), Miami Dolphins (football), Marlins (baseball) Miami Heat (basketball) and Florida Panthers (hockey).”

Bob is also active in the Chamber’s Consular Corps & Trade Representatives outreach program. The program is designed to better integrate Consuls General and Foreign Trade Representatives into the South Florida business community. 

Bob is a Florida Supreme Court Certified mediator and Florida Bar Certified construction lawyer with vast experience in complex state, federal and multidistrict litigation. He has recently changed the focus of his practice to serve as a mediator in multiparty litigation after focusing for many years on multiparty construction defect litigation around the State of Florida.
