Brittney Polo Graduates from The Leadership Academy
The Leadership Academy, a joint collaboration by the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (MDFAWL) and the Gwen S. Cherry Black Women Lawyers Association (GSCBWLA), celebrated the inaugural 2024 graduating class of Leadership Fellows, which included RumbergerKirk Associate Brittney Polo.
The goal of the program is to help advance women in the legal profession and community. The two organizations joined forces to create access to meaningful programming and to address ongoing concerns and challenges faced by aspiring women leaders in South Florida.
“I really enjoyed the opportunity to meet and foster relationships with likeminded women,” said Brittney.
Leadership Fellows were selected to participate in the academy from the applicants last fall. Fellows attended monthly sessions focused on further developing their individual leadership skills and promoting community service.
“I’m so proud of Brittney for her dedication and the hard work that she put into the Leadership Academy,” shared Partner Suzanne Singer. “As she continues on her path, I have no doubt she will lead with integrity, empathy and professionalism while excelling in her future endeavors and as a leader in our firm.”
The Leadership Academy aims to serve some of the best and brightest aspiring women leaders from different backgrounds and inspire them to give back to the community. The Leadership Academy is dedicated to race and gender equality, and hopes to create a legacy of women leaders uplifting and serving the community.
