A Call to Action for Voluntary Bars in the Aftermath of the Supreme Court’s Affiirmative Action Ruling
Orlando attorney Reginald Guillaume and Annie Blanc, co-chairs of the Orange County Bar Association Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee co-authored “Empowering Diversity” in the February 2024 issue of The Briefs. They highlight the importance of diversity and inclusion programs in the legal field in light of the U.S. Supreme Court’s affirmative action ruling.
They write, “Voluntary bar organizations can play a crucial role in driving initiatives that not only ensure compliance with legal standards but also actively promote a more representative, diverse, and equitable legal profession.”
