In an article published in USA Today, Partner Chase Hattaway provides insight as to the eligibility of workers to qualify for unemployment if they are fired for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine.
Based on feedback from Hattaway, among other national labor and employment attorneys, USA Today confirmed, “a worker who does not comply with a company’s policy to get vaccinated is generally ineligible for unemployment benefits. But there are some exceptions – and unemployment qualification is not the same in every state.”
