Florida Governor Appoints RumbergerKirk Attorney Linda Bond Edwards to the Second Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida Governor Charlie Crist has appointed Linda G. Bond Edwards, a partner with RumbergerKirk in Tallahassee, to the Second Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Edwards’ duties include providing the governor with a list of possible appointments to the courts in Leon, Liberty, Franklin, Jefferson, Gadsden and Wakulla Counties. The term began September 21 and ends July 1, 2014.
An AV-rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, Edwards devotes her litigation practice to representing private and public sectors employers in labor and employment matters including hiring, retention, termination, harassment, and discrimination issues.
As a county and circuit mediator certified by the Florida Supreme Court, Edwards also assists parties in resolving their disputes through use of the mediation process. She has mediated matters involving personal injury claims as well as those involving warranty and other consumer related issues.
Edwards is admitted to practice in all of Florida’s state courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. She is also admitted to practice before the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Edwards is a the president of the Board of Directors for the Florida State University College of Law Alumnae Association; Past Member and President of Board of Directors for the Tallahassee Habitat for Humanity; a member of Florida Association of Police Attorneys; the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM); Big Bend Society of Human Resources Management; Delta Sigma Theta Sorority; and Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
Edwards earned her law degree from the Florida State University College of Law and received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee.
