Florida Law Firms Prepare for OSHA Vaccine Mandate, Daily Business Review
Earlier this month, President Joe Biden announced that companies with 100 or more employees must begin requiring vaccines or submit unvaccinated employees to weekly COVID-19 testing. While Florida law firm leaders await a forthcoming emergency temporary standard (ETS) from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, those impacted face questions that could affect their ability to bring attorneys and staff together and retain their top lawyers.
Managing Partner Frank Sheppard discusses the current firm policy and rising rate of COVID-19 vaccinations in “Florida Law Firms Prepare for OSHA Vaccine Mandate” published by Daily Business Review on September 23, 2021.
While the firm has not mandated vaccines, Sheppard said “over 80%” of lawyers and staff are vaccinated. The firm has offered paid time off and $50 Amazon gift cards as vaccination incentives.
