FSU Alumni Share Insights During Clerkship Panel Discussion
The FSU Law Review and the FSU Business Law Journal invited FSU alumni who worked as judicial law clerks after graduating to a panel discussion for current Florida State University College of Law students. Jeffrey Grosholz participated and shared these insights:
- Clerking is a valuable experience that not only sharpens your research and writing skills, but also exposes you to many different areas of law you may otherwise not get in practice.
- Every judge is different, which means no two clerkships are alike.
- Students interested in clerking need to start the process early and take advantage of the resources available to them. Reach out to their professors, mentors, and their law school’s career services office if it is something they wish to pursue.
After the panel discussion, alumni, students and judges were invited to a mixer to facilitate one-on-one conversations with recent graduates who clerked.
