The sudden onset of COVID-19 presented a workplace challenge for every employer as governmental decisions prompted employers to make quick decisions about business operations and the impact on employee relations.  Unlike hurricanes and snowstorms, COVID-19’s impact was far more personal and far more wide ranging because every geographic region was affected at the same time.  Then, new laws, with little to no lead time and even fewer specifics, flooded into the HR space. She outlined five steps employers can take to recognize and address new priorities.
