LaShawnda Jackson has been elected as President Elect for the Virgil Hawkins Florida Chapter of the National Bar Association (VHFCNBA). Her term runs from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018 and will then serve as President the following year. The VHFCNBA is one the strongest affiliates within the NBA and has produced six national presidents. 

The VHFCNBA immediate past president highlighted Jackson’s ability to multi-task and the leadership that she provided as Chair of the Law School Liaison committee. Her committee successfully raised funds for the VHFCNBA scholarship. Those who spoke on behalf of her nomination for president elect highlighted her leadership, commitment, and service to the Florida Bar and the NBA.
