RumbergerKirk is pleased to announce that attorney Linda Bond Edwards is a finalist for the open position for United States District Judge for the Northern District of Florida. Linda’s name has been forwarded to Senators Marco Rubio and Bill Nelson for their review and consideration. In addition to Linda, United States Magistrate Judge Philip R. Lammens and Escambia County Circuit Judge Jan Shackelford are the other two finalists. While it may be several months before we hear anything further on the final nomination, we are very proud of Linda for having been selected as a finalist for the Federal Bench.
Linda has been a partner at Rumberger for nearly 10 years. Linda has practiced extensively in Federal Court over her career given her heavy emphasis on employment litigation and civil rights work. Before going to law school, Linda worked in the business world as a human resources professional. She is a graduate of Florida State University College of Law and has served on the Law School’s Alumni Board of Directors. Linda is extremely active in both civic and charitable activities in the Tallahassee community. She has been widely recognized for her legal and other accomplishments and was recently selected by The Tallahassee Democrat as one of the "25 Women You Need to Know in 2015."
