On March 20, 2019, Linda Bond Edwards presented “Welcome to Employment Law 2K19: A Look at What’s New and What’s Not” to a sold out audience at the Career Source Capital Region Power Hour. 

In the power packed hour, Edwards took the audience through the updates that have occurred in such areas as the proposed rule changes for the FLSA,  the increasing amount of Equal Pay litigation, the trend in EEOC charges and the impact of medical marijuana on accommodations under the ADA.  The interactive session challenged attendees, mostly human resources professionals, to consider the impact of asking applicants about current salary when making job offers.  The attendees were advised to look beyond sexual harassment and discrimination training to training that causes organizational culture change.
