During a Florida Education Negotiators video conference on April 29, 2020, Leonard Dietzen talked with more than 90 education negotiators around the state on how to bargain during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

During these times where the way of work has rapidly changed, Dietzen shared several tips on how to work fairly with unions. He also answered many questions regarding new Federal Employee Paid Leave Acts and Collective Bargaining Agreements deadlines. Other topics of discussion included Memoranda of Understanding and Internal/School District Deadlines.

During the presentation, Dietzen emphasized the importance of keeping the lines of communication open with union leadership.
