Should a lawyer be disciplined for conduct that is not related to the practice of law? Jack Weiss discussed the question of regulation for “off-duty” misconduct by judges, lawyers and applicants to the bar during the 44^th Annual American Bar Association National Conference on Professional Responsibility on Friday, June 1 in Louisville, Kentucky during his presentation, "Once a Lawyer, Always a Lawyer." 

Topics included isolated DUIs, whether Facebook postings or blogs by lawyers or applicants should be subject to inquiry, and whether applications to the Bar should be available to Bar Counsel in disciplinary proceedings after admission.
