Leonard Dietzen talked with the Orlando Business Journal about the new interest in unionization nationally and its impact in the state of Florida for an article published on August 12, 2022.
Dietzen explains that the Sunshine State’s environment for union formation is different from other states because of the type of workforce it has. “Compared to states with a larger manufacturing base, a smaller segment of Florida’s private-sector workforce is unionized, with a bigger presence in public-sector roles like teachers, police or firefighters,” said Dietzen. “There are different reasons why every industry unionizes.
