The Miami-Dade Bar Association Family Courts Committee and Young Lawyers Section along with Dade Legal Aid Put Something Back hosted the 31st Annual Nuts & Bolts of Family Law Seminar on Wednesday, May 24.
RumbergerKirk Director of Professionalism, Career and Skill Development Paul Lipton joined a panel discussion during the seminar entitled, “Professionalism and Power of Mentoring.” Paul shared lessons he’s learned over the years from his many mentors including:
- Use the power of silence
- See the grander story and don’t be blinded by minor nonsense
- Be kind and considerate
- Calmly look at all options before choosing a strategy
He also focused on the importance of your reputation both before entering the courtroom as well as after you exit the courtroom.
