Professionalism in a Pandemic
During the Dade County Bar Association Annual Bench & Bar Conference, Director of Professionalism, Career and Skill Development Paul Lipton joined Judge Andrea Wolfson and Judge Tom Rebull for a panel discussion focused on professionalism. The speakers addressed the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Professionalism Initiatives and local professionalism panels. They reiterated that the panels are available to help if a lawyer needs assistance. A complaint can be submit through the 11th Circuit website and then it is assigned to the panels.
In addition, to expand on this year’s Bench and Bar theme, Surviving 2020 and Thriving in 2021, the panelists discussed personal and family health, addressing the importance of staying connected–both spiritually and with others as well as the importance of learning new things.
Paul Lipton shared the importance of making each day count. “500 Mondays is approximately 10 years. Each day lost, is gone, so choose wisely as you make choices throughout the day,” he said.
