Rebecca Beers Elected President-Elect of the Birmingham Bar Association, Poised for Leadership in 2026
RumbergerKirk partner Rebecca Beers has been elected to serve as President-Elect of the Birmingham Bar Association in 2025 and as President in 2026. An active member of the Birmingham Bar throughout her career, Rebecca will draw on her many years of service with the Bar as she begins this leadership journey.
“I am incredibly honored that my friends and colleagues in the Birmingham legal community have entrusted me with this opportunity to lead the Bar,” shared Rebecca. “In 2025, I am looking forward to supporting my friend Bob Battle, who will be serving the Bar in its 140th year as president. I will work with Bob to implement our newly-adopted five-year strategic plan and to provide even more benefits to our members, including an exciting 140th anniversary event,” she added.
No stranger to leadership, Rebecca has served on the Bar’s Executive Committee for the past four years, as well as in 2018 when she served as President of the Birmingham Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, the culmination of five years on that Executive Board. Rebecca credits the Birmingham Bar Association for giving her many opportunities to hone her leadership skills, develop her practice, stay up to date on the latest developments in the law, and form deep and wide relationships with the state and federal benches.
“The greatest gift from my Bar involvement is the relationships that I have developed with other lawyers in different practice areas and with vastly varying professional roles,” noted Rebecca. “Some of my very best friends are other Birmingham lawyers with whom I never would have crossed paths or otherwise known without our shared service to the Bar. We are so lucky in Birmingham to have a friendly, collegial, and generous group of lawyers who make up our Bar, and I could not be more proud simply to be a member. This opportunity to lead the Bar is truly one of the most humbling experiences of my life, and I can’t wait to see what our Bench and Bar can do together to serve our members and the greater Birmingham community in 2025, 2026, and the future.”
