RK Hosts Dade Legal Aid Leadership Academy for a Class on Professionalism and Leadership
RumbergerKirk’s Miami office hosted the Dade Legal Aid Leadership Academy’s monthly luncheon this week. Paul Lipton, Director of Professionalism and Career and Skill Development at RK, spoke to the group about professionalism and leadership in the legal field. He specifically addressed the need for a leader to be authentic, competent, and professional. County Court Judge Wolfson and Circuit Court Judge Rebull also attended the meeting and shared their thoughts on the topic.
Dade Legal Aid launched its Leadership Academy in January 2015 and is now hosting its third class. Leaders participate as fellows of the academy for four months and develop a deeper understanding of effective leadership while learning about issues facing Dade Legal Aid and the indigent population. Fellows connect with leaders of firms and organizations for the purpose of creating lasting relationships and a commitment to pro bono service.
