RumbergerKirk Involved in Fourth Annual Summit of 11th Judicial Circuit Professionalism Committee to Focus on Municipal Lawyers
The Fourth Annual Summit of the 11th Judicial Circuit Professionalism Committee will be held on Thursday, September 15 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Stephen P. Clark Center. RumbergerKirk’s Director of Professionalism Paul Lipton co-chairs the committee with11th Judicial Circuit Judges Andrea Wolfson and Thomas Rebull and will each be speaking at the summit along with Chief Judge Bertila Sota.
The focus will be on municipal lawyers and the impact they have on shaping the practice of law, especially in light of the political landscape in America today. In addition to discussing issues in Miami-Dade Municipalities, topics of discussion include the relationship with elected officials and any effect on representations, differences between in-house and outside counsel representation and lessons and policy recommendations as a result of events in Ferguson, Baltimore, Baton Rouge and others.
