RumbergerKirk Partner David Willis Appointed Vice Chair of the Business Litigation Certification Committee of The Florida Bar
ORLANDO, FL – David C. Willis, a partner with RumbergerKirk, P.A., has been appointed Vice Chair of the Business Litigation Certification Committee of The Florida Bar for the upcoming Bar Year, beginning July 2009 to June 2010.
Willis is Florida Bar Board Certified in both Business Litigation and Construction Law. He represents a variety of owners, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers as well as design professionals in all aspects of the construction process. Willis also represents individuals and businesses in intellectual property disputes including those involving patents, copyrights and trademarks, computer software and hardware contracts and Internet Web site disputes.
The Committee is responsible for reviewing certification applications and preparing the certification examination.

Locally, Willis serves on the Orlando Regional Advisory Committee for the Associated Contractors of Greater Florida and on the Business Law Committee for the Orange County Bar Association. He graduated from the University of Florida’s College of Law, J.D. with honors, 1984. Willis also currently serves the community as a member of the Edgewood City Council in which he was recently re-elected without opposition for a two year term.
The Florida Bar is the statewide professional and regulatory organization for lawyers. Certification is the highest level of evaluation by The Florida Bar of competency and experience within an area of law, and professionalism and ethics in practice.
