RumbergerKirk Promotes Three New Partners From Orlando, Birmingham and Tallahassee

ORLANDO, Fla., BIRMINGHAM, Ala., TALLAHASSEE, Fla., February 3, 2025 RumbergerKirk announces three attorneys have been elected to partner: Fred Clarke in Birmingham, Sara Kallop in Orlando and Kayla Platt Rady in Tallahassee.

Fred Clarke

Clarke, based in the firm’s Birmingham office, focuses his practice on commercial and product liability litigation. He represents automotive and motor home manufacturers in cases alleging product defects as well as warranty and lemon law matters. Clarke also assists debtors and creditors in complex bankruptcy and restructuring cases. Throughout his career, he has prevailed in numerous contract, warranty and fraud disputes, and he has trial experience in both court and arbitration settings.

“Fred has worked on a variety of complex commercial cases and has also handled casualty and product liability litigation. He is a real utility player in the Birmingham office,” said Sheppard. 

Clarke graduated, cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law and participated in the RumbergerKirk Summer Associate Program in 2014. He is admitted to practice in Alabama, Georgia and North Carolina. He was listed in the 2024 edition of Mid-South Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Product Liability (PL-Products: Defense).

Sara Kallop

Based in the firm’s Orlando office, Kallop focuses on complex commercial litigation and professional liability defense. She represents clients in cases involving corporate disputes, fiduciary duties and fraud, as well as professional malpractice.

“Sara has excelled in all areas in which she has practiced. She also has demonstrated her leadership skills among our associates and has played a crucial role in our Summer Associate Program,” shared Sheppard.

Kallop holds a J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and also earned an LL.M., with distinction, from Edinburgh Law School at the University of Edinburgh. Her bar admissions include Florida, Illinois, New Jersey and New York.

“I am thrilled to join the partnership and continue to advocate for my clients while mentoring our associate attorneys,” said Kallop. “RumbergerKirk has provided an exceptional platform for my growth, and I’m excited for what’s to come.”

Kayla Platt Rady

Platt Rady, based in the firm’s Tallahassee office, focuses her practice on employment, governmental and administrative law. She represents employers in both private and public sectors on employment matters and defends against claims of discrimination, retaliation and civil rights violations. Her extensive work with public clients also includes handling constitutional claims related to due process, equal protection and First Amendment rights. Platt Rady’s experience extends to casualty litigation, where she defends clients against personal injury claims.

“Kayla has demonstrated excellence in both her written and oral advocacy skills, earning the confidence and respect of her clients and colleagues. She also has been a major contributor to our business development team,” shared Sheppard.

Platt Rady graduated, cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law. She is admitted to practice in Florida and was listed in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for both Labor and Employment Law – Management and Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants.
