Samantha Duke and Jens Ruiz have been invited to join the Product Liability Advisory Council (PLAC). A not-for-profit association of product manufacturers, suppliers, retailer and select regulatory, litigation and appellate professionals, PLAC works to shape the common law of product liability and complex regulation, provide guidance on changing regulations, and strategically help corporations manage risk throughout the entire product lifecycle.

PLAC is made up of more than 100 leading product manufacturers and 350 of the most elite product liability defense counsel operating in the U.S. and abroad. The organization has filed more than 1,000 briefs as amicus curiae in state and federal courts, presenting the broad perspective of manufacturers. PLAC, which grants membership by invitation only, focuses on achieving balance and fairness in the application of existing law within the civil litigation system and its many facets, leveraging litigation—and trials—to shape the common law.
