Two RumbergerKirk Attorneys Installed to The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors

Brittney Polo and Samendio Mathieu

RumbergerKirk attorneys Brittney Polo and Samendio Matthieu were sworn into The Florida Bar Board of Governors Young Lawyers Division during the annual convention in June. Brittney will be representing the Eleventh Circuit and Samendio will be representing the Eighteenth Circuit.

“It was really wonderful to participate in the annual convention and see the culmination of the relationships everyone has built over their tenure with the YLD. The awards ceremony was filled with a lot of inside jokes and happy tears. People really become family by the end,” said Samendio.

Brittney credited Yineth Sanchez-Aslan as her inspiration for being involved. “She has been a role model and mentor of mine since law school,” shared Brittney. “It is an honor to be serving with her this year on the Board of Governors.”

Brittney also shared that she is looking forward to working on different committees and programs that will assist young lawyers across the state. Samendio agreed, noting he will be working on the Local Bar Affiliates, Moot Court Competition and Basic Skills Course CLE committees.

In addition to working with young lawyers across the state, they will also travel to Washington D.C. and will have the opportunity to meet and work with young lawyers from across the country as well.
